Our family group has forty-one people in it. I did not join it. Somebody added me in 2019 and I have never left, because leaving would be an event. It produces about sixty messages a day. Most of them are good morning images with flowers. About four are actual information. The problem is that the four are hidden inside the sixty. Last year my uncle had an operation. The message announcing it arrived at 07:14, between a picture of roses and a video about honey. I saw it three days later. My cousin suggested we make a second group for important news only. We made it. Twenty-two people joined. For eleven days it was excellent. Then somebody sent a good morning image to it, and somebody else replied to be polite, and within a month the second group looked exactly like the first one. My cousin suggested a third group. I said no. I said the problem was not the group. The problem was that we like sending good morning images more than we like reading each other's news, and a new group would only move the behaviour, not change it. Everybody agreed with me in the chat. Six people sent a thumbs up. Then my aunt sent a good morning image, and the conversation ended. I still check it every evening, scrolling past all of it, looking for the four.
